Taiwan Association for innocence joins the Innocence Network
The Taiwan Association for innocence began its formation in 2011, with the help of prestigious lawyers and law school professors in Taiwan, inspired by the Innocence Project founded by Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld.
The Innocence Network started in the year 2000, with 10 different wrongful conviction rescue organizations meeting in Chicago to share information and to build a network, after that meeting the organizations decided to hold an annual conference in the spring time every year.
In 2005, the official Innocence Network was created, it’s members have grown from 15 to 69 different organizations with 14 of them based overseas in countries such as Argentina, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Holland, New Zealand, France, Israel, South Africa and Taiwan.
