02 Support
The cost of a wrongful conviction is much more than impeding the freedom or the dignity of an individual. Under most circumstances, it also threatens the livelihood of the family as a whole. In 2017, we set up the Innocence Support Unit (ISU), aiming to address and provide support and assistance to our clients and their families.
In order to construct a supportive safety net for them, the very first step is to understand the diverse needs of each client and each family. In addition to visiting and building up understanding, we also seek to help those who are wrongfully convicted and their families to make connections with others who have similar experiences. Meeting people who are standing in similar positions can reduce the anxiety and the loneliness and helplessness they have been constantly experiencing.
